Fall Skin Care
Fall is officially here! This is the season where we begin adding layers with cozy sweaters, but never forget about adding a hydrating serum or a nourishing facial oil to keep your skin supple and moisturized all season long.
We want to increase moisture as the weather drops in temperature, the air gets cooler and drier which it affects our skin. Serums with humectants, like the popular hyaluronic acid will help keep moisture in your skin as it's able to trap and keep the water in your skin. Heavier face creams and facial oils for the evening will help your skin feel supple. This is why night creams are richer than a day moisturizer to add lipids to your skin as we sleep. The Rosehip Triple C+E Firming Oil is an excellent addition to your Fall skin care regimen.
Use a humidifier while you sleep, stay hydrated internally and externally. Avoid hot water, use lukewarm water to cleanse your skin and avoid hot long showers. Wear layers to avoid using the car heater, as it can dry out your skin. Exfoliate once a week with a glycolic acid like The Yam & Pumpkin Enzyme Peel to refine and hydrate your skin. Use a hydrating masque like the Strawberry Rhubarb Masque at least twice a week, loaded with antioxidants and a botanical hyaluronic acid to plump and hydrate your skin. Use a shea butter lip balm before going to bed, this will help keep the thin skin on your lips hydrated.
enJOY everything about the wonderful Fall season, the season that slows us down and reminds us how much we should be grateful for.
Blessings friend!
